    Impressions of

The winter season inspires spirituality in all people, whether its origins are religious or secular. “Impressions of Winter” narrates the nativity of Jesus through an untraditional collection of sacred pieces, and explores texts from Shakespeare and 14-15th century poets about the joys and hardships of winter through John Rutter’s “When Icicles Hang”.

Jeff Cregeur, guest conductor of CitySingers of Hartford, combines his knowledge of singing, instrumental study, and composition to craft unique programs and soundscapes for each piece in an attempt to hold true to the composer's vision.
